We sweated again today, a lot. Breakfast was at the Maxwell Hawkers Market, this time we had dumplings and a few curry puffs to go. Back to the room to cool down and a quick shower.
We didn’t have big plans nor distance scheduled for today. We wandered up through the Ann Siang Hill Park and then to the Thian Hock Keng Temple, which is an old temple built in the classic Chinese style. Both were much closer than expected.
We found a nice little Korean place for lunch, and was expecting it to be nice, cool and well airconditioned. It did have the air-conditioning going but it was struggling a lot. Combined with having a steaming hot bowl of Bibimbap, we didn’t really cool down. We wandered home a different way and stopped off at a local brewery, which also wasn’t particularly cool despite the air conditioning going. We were expecting it to rain, as the air had that feel about it. Back to our hotel for another sit, cool down and quick shower to de-slime and to hide from the afternoon heat.
A bit over sitting in heat, we grabbed a couple of Bah Mi for dinner and scuttled back to our frosty cool room.
Another day of not doing much was good for us and I think we’ve got over the jet lag.
