San Diego to Santa Maria is not a glamorous drive, it’s freeway, very busy freeway. Sometimes it’s 7 lanes each way, sometimes two. When two freeways cross each other, things can be very slow, at other times you need to do 80mph to stay with the traffic flow. It took us 5 hours, plus a 20-minute lunchbreak in a car park somewhere just north of LA.
We arrived in town and found a brewery. Beer is good.
