The Albatross

We scooted up the big hill on the other side of the river this morning. There is a university up at its peak, and also a rather lovely park. Fortunately, it was nice and quiet, the views were stunning, the sun was out and the cherry blossoms were out without swarms of people losing their minds over some flowers on trees. The magnolias are out all over the city too which does make it very pretty.
A tad early for lunch, we zipped back to our side of the river, so that if the easter traffic gets bad we aren’t too far from home. We found a nice park down on the water, which again wasn’t too crowded, just full of families chilling out. All rather relaxed and nice to enjoy with a glass of Rose.
Heading out tomorrow for the next phase of our travels. I’m looking forward to getting out of big cities, traffic and narrow roads. It strongly looks like we’ll have our car the entire four months, so some less constricted places will suit it better. We must get around to Bluetoothing our phones to the car, as the options of Country, Western, 80’s rock or Christian (and combinations thereof) can get a tad tiresome.
