Penultimate Poutine

The Albatross

Sunday 7 April 2024

It’s our last full day in Canada, and whilst it’s my third time in the country and I’ve spent two months here total, I’ve never had poutine. Hence today’s mission was to hunt this delicacy down. For such a treat a couple of brews were also obviously necessary. None of the local breweries in town serve it, so we drove to the next town down. This was no hardship, as the clouds had lifted by 10:30am giving us views across the hills on both sides of the valley.

The brewery offered many variations on the classic chip, gravy and cheese curds, however, being our first time we just went the original. It was exactly as you’d expect, but went rather well with an ale.

Back to our accommodation.

Our accommodation is right at the base of the ski slopes to look at the hills and book the next few days lodgings.
