The Albatross

Today was Bryce Canyon National Park. We were thinking it could be just a repeat of Zion NP and that we could become a tad canyoned out. Boy, were we wrong, it’s a masterpiece that looks like the Gaudi designed Sagrada FamÃlia in Barcelona, although so much more epic.
It is a breathtaking landscape formed by ice cracking rock, and summer rains dissolving Lancastrian limestone sediments. It’s geologically younger than Zion, picking up at 55 million years ago where Zion left off.
We were in early and it wasn’t crowded, so I can’t rant about anything. It was just a special day. Utah is brilliant.
